Drew and William checking out some animals (not sure what this was??).

Memphis Zoo trip

We recently went to the Memphis Zoo with our friends, William and Hayes Brown...and Mrs. Meredith. The kids had a ball and after Meredith and I got in the gates (which was a zoo in itself!), the little one's diaper's changed, and the big kids to the bathroom, we had a good time too! Here Drew and William stop for a photo opportunity before getting started looking for animals!!!

Macy and Hayes...they were both such troopers!

Drew and William in the native American exhibit.

The boys playing with the sea lions. The sea lions really put on a show for us and the boys loved it!

Drew and the giant panda....one of only 4 giant panda exhibits in the US!

We're still here!!!!

I know....it has been over a month since I last posted. We are still here - just enjoying football season (well, at least the social aspect), this fall weather, and these precious kids! Here are a few funny pictures - and stories - from the past month. Zoo pictures to follow. We also go to the pumpkin patch tomorrow with Drew's preschool and have lots of Halloween festivities this week that I will post in the next few days.
Drew and I made brownies the other day - and Drew fed Macy out of the bowl - as you can see...she really liked it!

A few days ago, Drew was getting ready to go to school and I told him to go put his socks on. This is how he came back in the room...obviously wearing his dad's socks. No wonder it takes us so long to get to school!!!

This is Bella. My friend, Allison's next door neighbor rescued her out of a river and she made her way to our house this summer. She is a great dog and she and Drew love to play. Last year, Andrew built Drew a great swingset/fort in the backyard. Drew loves playing in it. Well, several weeks ago, Drew was in the fort playing...I looked outside and Bella was barking and trying to get to Drew. A few seconds later, I see her leap up the front ladder and into the fort. I can't explain how thrilled Drew was about this! They played and played and then Drew sort of pulled Bella down the slide to get her down. This went on for a week or so. Now, Bella has claimed the fort as her own "penthouse". She literally climbs the ladder like a human - one rung at at time. You can find her snoozing in her fort or sitting in the lookout area most of the day. And how does she get down, you ask....she slides down the slide of course! It is hilarious and I need to try to get it on video. Drew thinks that he has a "super dog" - and he just might!!

Drew and Bella in the fort.

This is a shot of the whole swingset aka Bella's "penthouse". What dog wouldn't like a house like this!!! We are putting a pool in for her next spring....

Western Day at preschool!

Drew had western day at preschool today. Here are a couple of pictures in his cowboy attire! He has had a big week this week. His cousins, Peyton, Rachel and Blair Lamb, were in town for a short visit yesterday and he had a ball playing with them! He loves them so much and I am pretty sure he didn't sit still at all yesterday - they played so hard. I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures of all of them together. I will try to do better when they are here for Thanksgiving!!

Here is Macy in her p.j.s this morning before taking Drew to school. She loves her brother so much but she also loves those 3 hours a day when he is at school and she can play in his room - and play without being tackled!

The precious cake!!!

A friend of mine from high school, Suzanne Smith Barnette, made Macy's precious cake for me. Scroll back up to the top and you can see that the cake matches her dress! It was so cute and tasted so yummy. Here is a link to Suzanne's cake blog http://cakesbysuzanne.blogspot.com/

Happy Birthday, Sweet Macy!!

Our precious baby girl turned one on September 11th. The day started out great and we were gearing up for a little party with friends and family on Friday night to celebrate the birthday girl. About 10:15 Thursday morning, I got a phone call from school saying that Drew had gotten sick. I quickly woke Macy from her nap and ran to get poor Drew. I got him situated in the bed with cartoons running, got Macy an early lunch (so she would go down for an early nap - since her morning nap was interrupted), and did some work around the house. Well, after I got Macy down for her nap, I started feeling sick...by 1 that afternoon, I was throwing up as well. What a day! Drew and I were quarantined to my room - and bathroom. It was awful. Thankfully, Mom came over in time to get Macy up from her nap and then let Macy spend the night with she and Dad. Andrew was a big trooper and took good care of me and Drew. I wish I had a picture of him wearing a mask around the house (seriously...) so that he would not get sick! He was a big help - thanks, Andrew! So, needless to say, it was not the best birthday ever - thankfully this is my second child and I know that she doesn't know any differently. We were supposed to have a party Friday night at our house with family and a few close friends but we had to cancel due to our illnesses! Instead, Mom was gracious enough to have the family over to their house for pizza and cake and ice cream so that Macy could have a little party - and we would not give our germs to our friends! So....here are pictures from Macy's first birthday party. She had a great time...and as you can see, LOVED the cake! We wouldn't have expected anything else from her!! We are so blessed to have had a wonderful year with our sweet girl and thank God so much for bringing our two precious children into our lives! Happy birthday, Macy!!!
This is while we are singing. Drew felt the need to hold her back for some reason. She is not too sure about all of this...
Here she goes...

It's MSU football time!!!

It's football time and at the Lamb house, that is a big deal! We traveled to Starkville Saturday for the first home game and the kids had a great time. Drew loved the game and Macy did a lot of tailgating. Here they are with their Dad (all in their MSU gear) before heading to Starkville.
Drew is officially obsessed with Bully! He pretty much stalked him the whole day. Ask Pammy...she walked miles to see Bully's dog house and then to find the "real" Bully!
